It depends. Those who wish to self-pay for the test do not need a prescription. Results will be evaluated by our sleep-trained physician, and will then be uploaded to your patient portal.
For those who wish to use health insurance to pay for the test, a prescription is needed to show that your doctor feels that you may have sleep apnea. If you are unable to obtain a prescription from your primary care physician for any reason, (coming soon in early 2018) you may visit one of our doctors via a telemedicine appointment. (Please note, additional charges will apply for the physician visit.
